I wanted to share this book with you. It is a book that has a different reminder every day.
You will see, when you read the text, that these words help us recognize the love and intense majesty of within each moment of our everyday life.
I have read each entry of this book. I am revisiting it again this year.
Here is the first entry of two on October 1st:
“When I think of the patience I have had back in the dark before I remember or knew it was light until the light came all at once at the speed it was born to with all the time in the world to fly through not concerned about ever arriving and then the gathering of the first stars
unhurried in their flowering spaces and far into the story the planets cooling slowly and the ages of rain then the seas starting to bear memory the gaze of the first cell at its waking
how did this haste begin this little time at any time this reading by lightning scarcely a word this nothing this heaven.
And parts of the second entry, same page, for October 1st:
“The divine life is the spirit in everything that exists, from the atom to the archangel…the grain of dust could not be where God was absent from it; the loftiest seraph is but a spark from the eternal fire, which is God. Sharers in one life all form one brotherhood. When we recognize that unity of all living things, then at once arises the question-how can we support this life of ours with least injury to the lives around us; how can we prevent our own life adding to the suffering of the world in which we live?”
I would urge you to go on Amazon and get this book. It is changing my life for the better.
