√ Springtime and The Virus
How faith, hope and love can overcome fear during a worldwide pandemic.
It’s Springtime! What Virus???
We’ve got this. All we need is a little adjustment in our focus.
We know a few things right now, and it’s probably not what you’re focusing on.
Instead, try focusing on this. Here goes:
This thing will be fixed. We will find an antivirus and a vaccine. Maybe soon, maybe not.
A solution will be found.
You all know, it will be found.
And when it is, here’s what happens next:
We get rehired. The jobs will be waiting for us to return. Commerce will take hold.
Paychecks will be signed. Money deposited. We’ll be solvent again.
We won’t buy too much toilet paper.
Restaurants will re-open, and the lines will be out the door. We’ll be happy to wait for a table.
Schools will reopen and, for the first time ever, kids will be excited AND relieved to go back to school.
We will be glad that we’re all on the road together. We’ll be happy to let people cut in front of us.
We will listen with more attention.
We will listen because we’ll realize how much there is to listen to.
We will know what we’ve been through, and realize how important we are to one another.
We will begin to look at our lives differently, even for a moment, before we return to our old routine.
A Note From My Heart
We will see the difference between our “before” and “after” selves, and see the window of change.
We will take that moment to absorb what’s important. Our routines will change.
We will grow up.
We will discard fear.
Fear is the cheapest room in the house. I would like to see you living in better conditions. - Hafez
We will embrace faith.
Here’s hoping that hugging will become the new National Pastime.
Have Faith. We’ve got this!
